Chalky clay, marl, and marly limestone from the Kimmeridgian era (the upper Jurassic geological period, 160-140 million years ago).
Winemaking
Manual harvest in small cases to avoid compressing the grapes and bursting the berries. Aged for 14 months in neutral French oak barrels for 50% of harvest, and the remainder in stainless steel vats.
Tasting Notes
Pronounced nose of fruit and flowers, with lovely freshness and a few mineral touches. Generous palate, with lovely roundness.
