Soils
A blend of clay and pebbles on rather thin soil. This terroir structure acts as a natural brake on the vigor of the vine, and as a result on the yields of the parcels.
Winemaking
Manual harvest in small cases to avoid compressing the grapes and bursting the berries. Aged for 12-15 months on fine lees in neutral French oak barrels.
Tasting Notes
Complex bouquet of aromas, with dense, robust structure and a pleasant roundness.
Points of Distinction
- The appellation benefits from its steep slope (higher than 30%) and full sun exposure
- William Fèvre owns 49% of the total appellation
- The steep slope and shallow soil produces robust wines
