Vinous

Vivid ruby-red. Bright and highly aromatic, displaying an array of fresh red fruit, floral and spice scents. Vibrant, sharply focused raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show excellent focus and spicy lift, and a mineral element emerges with air. Seamless and gently sweet on the finish, which is given shape by silky, even tannins.

Vinous

Deep ruby. Ripe cherry and dark berry aromas are complemented by suggestions of licorice and fruitcake. Lush and creamy on the palate, offering ripe, expansive black and blue fruit flavors that don't come off very Beaujolais-like to me. Seamless and sweet, with a potent black raspberry quality clinging on a long, broad and subtly tannic finish.

A ripe and overtly peppery mix of red and dark fruit, cut with plenty of earth character. This can also be found on the beautifully rich, seductive and opulent flavors that culminate in a lingering and slightly warm finish, where a hint of bitter cherry pit arises. This should drink well young, yet reward mid-term cellaring as well.

A notably ripe, but still attractively fresh nose. Features notes of black raspberry liqueur, pepper, spice and plenty of earth. There is fine concentration to the relatively refined medium weight flavors that possess really lovely vibrancy; all wrapped in a delicious, intense and beautifully long and complex finale. While this could be enjoyed young, it should amply reward mid-term cellaring as well.
