Brut Rosé

5 Stars

Restaurant Wine

The Brut Rosé is stunning: medium reddish pink color, very finely flavored (peach, strawberry, raspberry, pineapple, lemon, honey, toasted almond), it is smoothly textured yet crisp, with excellent balance, a long flavor evolution, and a long, harmonious finish. An outstanding wine—and the best version of it I have tasted!

A touch of vanilla-laced pastry cream sweetness accents this fresh and focused Champagne, with a fine mousse. This is wellbalanced by crunchy acidity and flavors of lemon peel, green pear and spring blossom.

Beverage Dynamics

A stunning example of a world class rosé Champagne. From the brilliant salmon pink color, to the fine and delicate mousse, you can see its pedigree. Delicate strawberry and cherry on the nose are followed by a palate of complexity and elegance. A long, balanced finish confirms the wine’s pedigree and class. Outstanding.

View From the Cellar

The new release of Henriot’s non-vintage Brut Rosé is a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay, with the exact cépages not given, but probably about fifty-five percent pinot and forty-five percent chardonnay. The wine is quite lovely, offering up an elegant bouquet of strawberries, tangerine, chalky minerality, fresh-baked bread and a topnote of rose petals. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied, focused and nicely deep at the core, with refined mousse, bright acids and lovely focus and grip on the long and complex finish. This is really quite tasty.

This minerally Champagne is balanced and fresh, with a fine, lively bead and subtle flavors of Asian pear, pastry and pickled ginger. A light toastiness shows on the finish.

Le Pan

A rich, Chardonnay-driven blend that spends three years on the lees, this shows very pleasant floral notes, ripe apple and citrus fruit and a creamy texture and a soft yet lively mousse and good persistence.
