This solid, balanced red has a hefty profile shouldering cherry, currant and earth flavors, with tannins that are elevated by crisp acidity. Iron and tea accents play out on the long finish.

A solid version, dense and saturated with black cherry, blackberry and earth flavors. Iron and stone elements work their way in.

(From Les Chanlins and Les Combes). A slightly fresher nose features pretty violet top notes to the earthy coulis of black pinot fruit scents. There is fine mid-palate density and evident power to the bigger-bodied flavors that exude a bracing salinity on the youthfully austere, firm and moderately rustic finale. Patience suggested.

Premier Cru Pommard 2019

Wine Advocate

Incorporating an appreciable percentage of whole bunches, the 2019 Pommard 1er Cru bursts with notes of peonies, plums, orange rind, sweet red berries and raw cocoa. Medium fo full-bodied, ample and velvety, it's supple and precise, with an ample core of perfumed, sapid fruit.
