A pretty, elegant red, exhibiting cherry, strawberry, mineral and spice flavors, backed by a firm structure. Balanced in the crisp style of the vintage, with fine length and purity.

This is showing well, offering up an attractive bouquet of smoky red berries, dried flowers, musk and bergamot. On the palate, it's medium bodied, delicate and supple, with a pretty core of tangy fruit, powdery and largely melted tannins and a sapid, flavorful finish. This won't make old bones, but it's a charming Beaune 1er Cru from an overlooked vintage that's drinking well today.

The wide spectrum of black berries with notes of candied orange and clove pull you into this rich and fleshy Beaune 1er Cru. However, there's a firm tannic core beneath all this and the powdery tannins at the long finish provide clear contours. Slight salinity there. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

Once again there is ample wood present on the perfumed, cool and again airy aromas of both red and dark cherry that are liberally laced with spice elements and a discreet soupçon of earth. Once again there is excellent volume and the same sleek mouth feel to the medium-bodied flavors that also exude a fine minerality onto the delicious and sappy finale where the underpinning tannins are not quite as ripe.

This shows spice, earth and rust character with some chocolate. It's medium-bodied with roundness and freshness. Yet, there's decadence and meatiness at the end. Drink in 2024.

This is the first wine to display any appreciable reduction to this point along with moderately prominent wood influence. Otherwise there is evident ripeness to the very rich and equally succulent medium weight flavors that deliver fine length if only moderate depth.

(A 3.37 ha monopole of Bouchard that required 7 generations for the family to acquire all of it). Pretty and cool yet definitely ripe aromas reveal notes of various dark berries, violet and rose petal. The suave and seductively textured medium weight flavors possess very fine density while the youthfully austere and moderately firm finish makes clear that this will need at least a few years of bottle aging first.

Shows a tight grain to the tannins, which back the cherry, strawberry, mineral and oak spice flavors. Bright and long, echoing berry and spice notes.
