Aromas of lime, white flowers, spices and hazelnut. Powerful, thick, rich and deep; wonderfully silky and broad but with terrific spicy acidity giving it a light touch. This is extract-rich for a yield of nearly 45 hectoliters per hectare. Finishes tactile, dry and long, with an impression of tannic spine and repeating nutty nuances. –ST

Super chalky with restrained notes of stones and minerals, as well as orange and clementine aromas and lightly spiced bread dough, in attractive mode. The palate has a smoothly layered and very approachable feel with a lot of plush, rich and ripe fruit, delivered in a channel of chalky freshness.

Highly complex, soil-driven aromas of lime blossom, menthol, white pepper, mint and musky flowers. Utterly seamless and suave but very youthfully unevolved, with fresh citrus and mineral flavors complicated by sexy brown spices. A wonderfully subtle, lemony, penetrating wine with great flavor intensity and near-perfect acid balance. Most impressive today on the very subtle, slowly mounting, ultimately palate-staining finish. Conveys an impression of nobility without huge weight or power. Bouchard has bottled a splendid set of grand crus in 2014.

(from a high-altitude, windy, east-facing vineyard in which maturity generally arrives late, preserving the wine's freshness): Very pale color. Pungent aromas of apple, spices, toast, white flowers and flinty minerality. Lovely fresh apricot fruit is given verve by enlivening acidity and a touch of orange peel. In a very ripe, extract-rich style, finishing with a slightly tannic impression and a touch of bitter orange. This would make a great digestif. The crop level here was just 29 hectoliters per hectare as a sizable percentage of these vines are 80 years old.

A muscular Corton, this starts out dense, a little vegetal, a little heavy in its massive structure. Then air brings up the beautiful freshness, layering a red fruit note of strawberries with scents of grain and vanilla. The finish tightens up and lasts, so that it tastes as if you're breathing strawberry cream. Bouchard produces this from nine acres of estate vineyards in Corton.
